Mattel’s Monster High brand is to collaborate with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation. Monster High will work with the foundation over the next three years to continue to shine a spotlight on inclusion and acceptance via events, content, product and social media.

Universal Studios Hollywood has launched The Wizarding World of Harry Potter interactive website. The entertainment experience is due to open in spring 2016.

Barbie has expanded its apparel portfolio this autumn/winter, unveiling a new collection for girls at Mango Kids stores. The pop art inspired range includes a t-shirt and sweater, and will be available in all Mango Kids stores across Europe, Russia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East from November.

Masha and the Bear outdoor lines have enjoyed a healthy response at Italian retail through the summer. Mondo (beach and outdoor play toys) and Eurasia (bicycle accessories) have both reported strong sales.

Australian licensing agency Wild Pumpkin has rebranded as WP Brands. The new look has been developed to not only align with services that the agency is providing a number of its clients, but it also reflects the needs of a changing modern licensing industry, said the company. The logo has been revised to convey the company’s strong, unique value proposition, while a new website and social media links have been set up. The overall WP Brands business will also cover multiple areas such as mass media, digital, online, social media, brand management, sponsorship, retail placement and creative services.

Licensing pioneer Robert Postal passed away on September 28 at his home in New York. Robert was co-founder of CopCorp Licensing (which he co-founded with his wife Carole in 1997) and evp of Knockout Licensing.
