We round up the top ten stories from our first year.

October 1 will see LicensingSource celebrating its first birthday.

Over the course of our first year, we’ve brought you over 1,500 news stories and more than 200 features, interviews and opinion pieces.

So, as part of our celebrations, we’ve put together a list of our top ten stories from our first year.

A retweet from Ricky Gervais helped bolster our presence across social media back in November 2015, helping the story about eOne handling the licensing for the character’s film debut rocket into our top three.

Meanwhile, in January 2016 we wrote about a new company called Mardles, which was heading to Toy Fair with the aim of talking to licensing companies about its new VR sticker technology. In August it confirmed that it had signed its first deal with Aardman – all thanks to that original story.

Our top two stories, however, prove that our strength when it comes to breaking major retail news is unrivalled.
