Hachette adds to Rainbow Magic series

New title has been inspired by YouTube sensation Tiana from the channel, Toys AndMe.

Hachette Children’s Group is expanding the Rainbow Magic series of books, with a new title inspired by Tiana from popular YouTube channel, Toys AndMe.

The title – Tiana the Toy Fairy – will be published on October 20 by the Orchard Books imprint. An official launch will take place at new family and gaming festival, Kidtropolis, which is being held in London during half-term.

The publication will be supported by a digital campaign using the Toys AndMe channel to target existing Tiana fans, as well as promoting to Rainbow Magic fans via the database.

Katie Price, licensing director for Hachette Children’s Group, and editor of Orchard Books, Anna Solemani, acquired UK territories and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) from Laura Edwards at iLike Media.

Katie commented: “We are extremely excited to be collaborating with top child YouTuber, Toys AndMe to publish a special edition of our bestselling Rainbow Magic series.

“Tiana’s YouTube channel Toys AndMe is the fourth biggest in the UK with over 1.6 million subscribers and over 1 billion views, while HIT Entertainment’s Rainbow Magic is the number one fiction series for girls with sales of over 30 million worldwide.

“The collaboration is in line with the group’s licensing strategy to attract top YouTube talent.”
