Hachette Children’s secures Pokémon deal

Orchard Books imprint to publish three Pokémon books in November.

Orchard Books – an imprint of the Hachette Children’s Group – is to roll out three Pokémon books in mid November after securing a three-year publishing deal with The Pokémon Company International.

The three titles – Pokémon Creative Colouring, The Pokémon Encyclopaedia and The Pokémon Sticker Book – will all arrive on November 17.

The deal was brokered between Katie Price, licensing director, Hachette Children’s Group, and Amy Levenson, publishing manager at The Pokémon Company International.

Katie commented: “It is extremely exciting to be a part of the popular Pokémon brand and we are thrilled to be able to put three different formats at a range of price points into the market in 2016.

“This deal is in line with the Hachette Children’s Group’s strategy to become a key player in the licensing arena.”
