‘Phenomenal’ early sell in for Rubie’s Suicide Squad line

Positioned to be number one new licence for Halloween, says the company.

Rubie’s Masquerade is confident it has another success on its hands with the upcoming Suicide Squad, with early sell in of its range being very strong ahead of the film’s launch.

The company has worked closely with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on a range of costume kits, costumes, wigs,  masks and accessories for adults to help bring the key characters to life.

Rubie’s has said that it has already sold in a high percentage of initial stock, with the range being supported by the independent trade and online.

Notably, Suicide Squad is positioned to be Rubie’s number one new licence for Halloween.

In addition, due to concerns on the high levels of counterfeit merchandise available, Rubie’s is working with WBCP on taking action to ensure that consumers have access to official licensed products, and that counterfeit product is taken down on multiple platforms.

David Wootliff, UK commercial director, told The Source: “I’m excited about this film and feel very confident that we have another winner in terms of great characters and opportunities in the dress-up market with our kits, costumes and accessories.

“Early sell-in of the initial product range has been phenomenal ahead of the film opening next week.”
