DC Super Hero Girls toys hit retail

Action dolls and figures for Warner Bros. and DC property hit UK retailers from July 1.

Today – Friday July 1 – sees the launch of the hotly tipped DC Super Hero Girls toy line.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment have teamed up with Mattel for the launch of the new line – which is part of a major property push encompassing animated webisodes, TV specials and made for video movies.

As part of the merchandise programme, the Mattel toy line has made history with the first ever 6-inch action figure designed for girls; the first 12-inch collection of action dolls featuring strong, athletic bodies that stand on their own in heroic poses; and the first-ever action role-play toys for girls.

Fans can discover more at DCSuperHeroGirls.com and through dedicated social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram (#DCSuperHeroGirls).

Centring on the female super heroes and super villains of the DC universe during their high school years, the property features a new artistic style and aesthetic.

Characters include Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee, Poison Ivy and Katana among others.
