Disney Consumer Products unleashes Stitch product into retail

Disney Consumer Products has launched a raft of new Stitch product into the market ahead of the release of the hotly tipped live action movie.

Lilo & Stitch is due to hit cinemas in the UK on 23 May and the swell of new merchandise will cover multiple categories such as toys and collectables, apparel, accessories, pet products, travel and home.

Just Play has a new live action-inspired product assortment which aims to bring the film’s storytelling and Stitch’s fluffy characteristics to life in new ways. New product highlights include Many Moods Stitch – which features expressive LCD screen eyes and over 50 sounds and reactions; Stitch 38″ Giant Plush and Stitch Large Plush; and Stitch Movie Time Blind Boxes, which include 3″ collectable toy figures with Stitch in seven movie-inspired scenarios.

In addition to this, there will be Stitch-inspired collections from LEGO, Jakks Pacific, Jada Toys, Jazwares, Funko and Ravensburger among others in the toy space; collaborations in the apparel space with the likes of adidas, Gap, Crocs, Loungefly and Pandora; pet products from Sassy Woof and Jazwares; food and consumables with treats such as Betty Crocker Fruit Shapes, Crunch Pad Snacks and Berry & Cherry GoGurt; home décor such as bean bags, sofa and swivel chairs; electronics; and luggage.

Further additional product drops and collaborative brand collections will also launch leading up to the theatrical release, and continuing through to the fan-filled ‘6/26 Day’ and into the holiday season.
