Levi’s celebrates blur’s musical and cultural legacy with new tee collection

Levi’s is celebrating the musical and cultural legacy of blur, revealing a new tee collection featuring the Britpop band’s logo and The Great Escape album cover.

The new Levi’s x blur Band Tee Collection honours their classic logo from the ‘90s, the decade when they came roaring onto the international music scene.

A white tee is emblazoned with the blur logo on a blue background, while a black tee is emblazoned with the logo on a red background. Delivered on a sea blue shirt, the collection’s third and final tee features a print of the artwork for the album The Great Escape, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Inspired by 90’s era woven labels, the collection’s interior neck labels add period correct authenticity to each t-shirt.

The Levi’s x blur Band Tee Collection is part of a broader collection of artist tees that the Levi’s brand will release throughout the year. The bands featured for recently released tees include Sonic Youth, Joy Division, New Order and Oasis.

The new partnership was facilitated by WMX, Warner Music Group’s merchandise and fan experiences division.

“Levi’s has always been rooted in music,” commented Leo Gamboa, senior director of global collaborations and customisation design at Levi’s. “We wanted to bring back the vibe of your favourite blur band tee – authentic, timeless and made with quality that lasts for years to come.”
