Following on from the success of its Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide, DK has revealed two new titles in its partnership with Games Workshop.
The first of the books will see fans delve further into the characters behind the grimdark setting of Warhammer 40,000, while the other is a unique look at the phenomenal art of Warhammer video games.
Coming in October, Warhammer 40,000 Character Encyclopedia features profiles of more than 120 characters from the 41st Millennium, from legendary Primarchs, both loyalist and traitor, to enigmatic Phoenix Lords and brutal Warbosses, giving experienced and new fans alike insights into the truly epic heroes and villains of each warring faction.
Meanwhile, November sees the release of The Art of Warhammer Video Games – a volume showcasing classic games like the Dawn of War series alongside recent hits like Space Marine 2. The book will include never before seen concept art, promo pieces and commentary.
“The response to Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide has been nothing short of extraordinary,” commented Mark Searle, md at DK Licensing. “We are excited to build on this success with two new titles that delve deeper into the rich lore and artistry of the Warhammer universe.”
Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide was the first non-fiction compendium collating together characters, miniatures, factions and events of the Warhammer 40,000 setting. Since its release in October 2024, it has already sold over 12,000 copies in the UK and 15,000 copies in the US, emerging as DK’s biggest selling title over the Christmas period.
