Acamar Films and Maurizio Distefano Licensing have confirmed that hit preschool character Bing has been selected by the Valli di Sole, Peio and Rabbi Tourism Board as the face of a new family initiative for the ski season in Italy.
In an agreement between Acamar Films and Val di Sole Tourism Board – facilitated by Maurizio Distefano Licensing – from 22 March to 6 April, Bing and his carer Flop will accompany young skiers at the three family parks in the Folgarida Marilleva ski area, supporting them through their first adventures on the snow with a series of family-friendly initiatives.
Children aged 3 to 6 will be able to ski and stay free of charge over the two-week period, thanks to a special offer that also includes ski lessons and equipment hire. Discounted rates will be available for older siblings.
Throughout this time, three family-friendly snow parks, chalets, libraries and baby clubs will host a variety of Bing-themed activities and events.
In addition, on 24 and 31 March, special sessions for parents will take place at the Pellizzano and Monclassico kindergartens. Paediatricians from the Italian Society of Paediatrics will provide expert advice on two essential topics concerning young children’s health: nutrition and sleep. These events will also serve as a platform to discuss Le Buone Abitudini (Good Habits), a campaign promoting healthy habits for the proper and peaceful development of children.
“We are delighted to collaborate with the Val di Sole Tourism Board to create an unforgettable experience for young children and their families,” commented Kirsty Southgate, director of experiential and promotions at Acamar Films. “This partnership offers us a unique opportunity to engage with families in an exciting new way, bringing the world of Bing to a stunning location. We look forward to seeing the joy this collaboration will bring to children and their families.”
Fabio Sacco, general manager of the Val di Sole Tourism Board, continued: “We are thrilled to launch this partnership with Acamar Films and bring the beloved Bing character to life in our region. This collaboration enables us to offer a unique and incredibly fun experience for all families visiting Val di Sole. We are confident that this Bing-themed event will enhance the appeal of our family-friendly parks and create truly memorable moments for our youngest visitors.”
Maurizio Distefano, president of the Maurizio Distefano Licensing agency, added: “We are excited to have brought this project to life. Bing is a character that resonates deeply with Italian families, and we are sure that this initiative will offer an engaging and unforgettable experience for all ages.”
