This is a role that will provide you with a breadth of experience across all areas of the supply chain. You will be liaising with sales and marketing on exciting new products and ranges, placing orders and managing timelines with suppliers whilst managing inventory throughout the supply chain. The primary aim of the role is to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.  The role has a large influence on the department budget, for Purchasing, Freight and Receipt Handling & Despatch.

The Jobholder is one of three people reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. One is an established Supply Chain Planner and the other person is the Customer Service Administrator.

 

Role summary:

The Jobholder is one of three people reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. One is an established Supply Chain Planner and the other person is the Customer Service Administrator.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with marketing team on new range planning to ensure full availability for on time deliveries to customer DC’s
  • Create and schedule purchase orders and collate supporting documentation (e.g carton markings, product specs etc), in line with MRP requirements and inventory and availability KPIs.
  • Work closely with suppliers and service providers to ensure on time in full deliveries of Purchase orders
  • Maintain associated master data and planning data in the MRP system (Sage) and Access database including stock codes, accurate dates, bill of materials, tariff codes & duty rates, safety stocks, MOQs and pallet configurations.
  • Reconcile stock holding between H&A and warehouse systems
  • Responding and noting important shipping information via email and phone calls from international suppliers
  • Arrange shipping of products from suppliers in a timely manner, ensuring all paperwork is processed correctly
  • Raising product delivery issues to the Supply Chain Manager

 

Role requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in planning and supply chain which enables you to solve problems and make decisions in an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail – to ensure the right orders are delivered on time
  • Good organisational skills – as you juggle multiple customers and other third parties
  • The desire to work in a changing business
  • Ideal candidate will have experience of working with databases e.g. Access or similar
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Ability to stay focused and work well under pressure in busy periods
  • Comfortable working within a team of 4 and supporting each other where necessary.
  • A team player mentality; willing to get involved and ask questions
  • Previous experience implementing new systems and processes is an advantage
