Licensing industry charity, The Light Fund is now open for submissions from charities (with a UK registered charity number) – with the deadline for submissions set at 5pm on Friday 8 November 2024.
All UK registered charities (concerned with helping men, women or children) in the UK and/or overseas are invited to submit a proposal for a distinct project they would like to be considered for funding from The Light Fund. In the case of charities operating outside of the UK, they must have a UK registered charity number to be considered for The Light Fund funding.
The Light Fund will only accept one project submission per registered charity, unless the submissions are from different strands of the charity, eg regional divisions.
Registered charities may submit their proposals for prospective projects for 2025 that they would like to have funded. You can apply by clicking here, and all applications should be received no later than Friday 8 November.
The charity project proposals should be for £5,000 (or less) and if funded, should be completed in 2025.
The Light Fund’s fundraising activities take place throughout the year and as such the number of charities The Light Fund can support depends on the amount raised (which can vary enormously from year to year).
All submissions are considered by The Light Fund trustees and committee members, who individually vote for projects they would most like to see funded. These votes are then correlated, with the projects receiving the highest number of votes receiving the go ahead. Charities are informed in December if they have been successful, and the project details will be featured on The Light Fund website under the beneficiaries tab.
