This week marks a step into a new realm of publishing for Redan, as the company launches its first ever licensed character title, primarily targeted at the kidult market.
Icons In Colour is pitched as the ‘ultimate’ colouring magazine designed for adult fans of childhood brands.
It is made for kidults who want to reconnect with the joy of their childhood, while indulging in the mindful recreation of colouring.
“The launch of Icons In Colour marks an exciting new chapter for our business,” explained Julie Jones, md at Redan Publishing. “We’re targeting an older audience as well as stepping into a fresh, creative space that taps into the growing demand for products that blend nostalgia with hands-on engagement. This magazine is the perfect example of how we’re evolving to meet the interests of today’s audience – those who are looking for unique ways to relax, unwind, and connect with the iconic brands that have shaped their lives.
“We’re proud to be diversifying our skills in this new direction, and we can’t wait to see how Icons In Colour resonates with fans.”
Icons In Colour will be published 9-10 times per year and each issue will focus on one fabulous icon, with the first issue focusing on the various eras of Barbie.
Editor Beth Yuile continued: “I’m absolutely thrilled to work on our newest title, Icons In Colour. This magazine is a celebration of the timeless iconic brands that so many of us grew up with, and it’s been a joy to curate something that blends nostalgia with creativity. Our team is incredibly proud of what we’ve put together, and we can’t wait to see how our readers bring these icons to life with their own unique flair.”
