Caravanserai Partners gets on board with Leo the Truck

Independent preschool content production company, Project First has appointed Caravanserai Partners as its new licensing agency for the Leo the Truck brand.

The two companies will now look to expand the reach of the brand and characters through consumer products and promotions in the Iberian Peninsula territories.

Leo the Truck is translated into 15 languages and has gained 23 billion views on YouTube worldwide. Two seasons of 130 episodes are in rotation, with new episodes of season three being released. Project First also develops its own Leo the Truck apps which have gained 26 million downloads. A number of live action channels also involve kids playing with toys and other Leo products, further extending the universe.

The brand has reached 50%+ awareness among preschoolers in Germany, Turkey, Russia, Brazil and Mexico, and is growing in Italy, Netherlands and Spain.

“Kids entertainment is evolving very fast, and we are very happy to start working with such an inspiring show like Leo the Truck especially for its strong values that we’ll try to replicate into licensed products,” commented Guillem Rey, md at Caravanserai Partners.

Vladimir Nabatov, business development director at Project First, continued: “Leo’s Spanish-speaking channels have impressive numbers, and we are thrilled to work with Caravanserai being a licensing agency with great track record in Spain, Portugal and Andorra. We keep having kids and parents from all over the world addressing us as to where to buy toys or t-shirts with Leo. We have already launched publishing in Germany with Panini and we are happy to start exploring countries of Iberian Peninsula.”
