Anya Hindmarch reveals new stationery concept in collaboration with Peanuts

Luxury brand Anya Hindmarch has revealed its stationery store and new collection in collaboration with Peanuts.

The collaboration has taken up residence for September in the Village Hall – the brand’s evolving space in London which plays host to a series of dynamic stores.

The iconic school bus is parked up on Pont Street, with visitors encourage to hop aboard and discover Charlie Brown’s classroom, complete with blackboard, colourful vintage school desks and pigeon holes, all piled high with collectable, Peanuts-inspired stationery.

The range includes everything from a leather-bound Snoopy notepad and Snoopy shaped pencil case (£395 and £320 respectively) through to key charms and pencil sharpeners.

Similar pop-ups are planned for Liberty, also in London, and with Moda Operandi.

“It taps into nostalgia, but I think it also taps into things that add personality and start a conversation,” Anya Hindmarch told The Times. “These are small pleasures. We all need a bit of that from time to time. A bit like a lipstick in Chanel, it’s the entry level at which many customers will first access your brand.”

“September will always feel like the start of a new year to me – the perfect time for new stationery. This year, I’m delighted to unveil our stationery store and collection in collaboration with the world’s best loved comic strip, Peanuts.”

The audience for luxury stationery that you want to keep with you has also grown thanks to the new hybrid working patterns, with more of using relying on shared office spaces and hot design.

“You used to have it all in your top drawer. But now you often need your home office to come with you,” commented Anya. “I sit down at a board meeting and get out my pencil case and it immediately makes me feel more organised and in charge of what’s going on in my life, even when I’m not. More than being a conversation starter, great stationery is an extension of your personality.”
