The finalists in the prestigious Retail categories for The Licensing Awards 2024 have today (10 July) been confirmed.
The finalists in the five categories were reached by a dedicated Retail Validation Panel, made up of licensing industry executives from both licensors and licensees, and chaired by Richard Pink, md of Pink Key Licensing.
“Once again the slate of shortlisted retailers and the eventual finalists reflects just how important licensed product and merchandise is to retailers of all shapes and sizes, genres and categories,” commented Ian Hyder, ceo of Max Publishing (which owns and organises The Licensing Awards). “Extensive discussions from our fantastic panel showed that while retail is tough across almost every area, brands and character merchandise remain a key driver for footfall and engaging consumers with in-store experiences, which ultimately generate that vital revenue.”
