WildBrain teams with Samsung TV Plus in Australia and New Zealand

WildBrain is extending its position in kids’ FAST channels through an expanded partnership with Samsung TV Plus.

The company has launched new channels on Samsung’s FAST platform in Australia and New Zealand for Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Caillou, Sonic and Super Mario.

In addition, 27 new channels for WildBrain properties are planned to launch on Samsung TV Plus in multiple international territories later this year.

Among the channels launching, those coming to Samsung TV Plus in Europe include Strawberry Shortcake (UK) and Sonic (UK, Italy), while in Latin America (Brazil, Mexico), Samsung TV Plus will be the home for dedicated Teletubbies and Strawberry Shortcake FAST channels.

The new channels will add to the 29 channels already on Samsung TV Plus across the US and Canada, UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy, nearly doubling the number of WildBrain channels on the platform while expanding WildBrain’s FAST audiences in new territories.

“FAST is a cutting-edge and strategic opportunity for IP owners to engage their fans wherever they’re watching, with ‘always on’ channels serving up dedicated, 24-7 streams of content in a curated kid-safe environment,” commented Lara Ilie, vp AVOD and FAST at WildBrain. “We’re delighted to extend our position as the leader in the FAST space for kids’ brands through this expansion of our partnership with Samsung TV Plus.”

Since launching its FAST strategy, WildBrain has driven growth on its channels to 7.5 billion minutes watched in 2023, up from 502 million in 2019.
