Emma Shipley reveals Surtex plans

Artist exhibiting designs at Surtex for first time following Star Wars collaboration.

London-based artist Emma Shipley is looking to build on her licensing experience following a successful collaboration with Disney last year, heading to Surtex for the first time.

Emma will be looking for companies who can translate her hand-drawn designs on new products.

She collaborated with Disney UK at the end of last year on a new six-piece unisex scarves collection, inspired by the Star Wars saga.

She has her own label creating luxury scarves and her designs have also been used on womenswear, wallpaper, interior textiles, furniture, packaging and bags.

At Surtex, Emma will be showcasing a range of sample product applications, including wallpaper, accessories, interior and fashion fabrics, as well as her large back catalogue of original designs for licensing.

Surtex runs from May 15-17 at the Jacob K Javits Conference Center, New York.
