CINEMATIC RENAISSANCE: REVIVING CLASSIC CHARACTERS

By 2027, the licensing industry is projected to reach a valuation of US$ 385 billion (growing at a compound annual growth rate [CAGR] of +4.1%), with a key driving force behind this being the rise of fandoms amongst kids and their growing desire for licensed products. Indicative of this is the fact that according to data from The Insights Family, licensed product purchases amongst kids have been on the rise. For example, across the past year, the number of tweens buying toys related to their favourite films has grown by +34%, and is now at 18%. A key trend that the team at The Insights Family has been observing is the revival of classic IP.
