Ladybird adds The Dad to grown-ups series

Latest title in hit book series will be available in time for Father’s Day.

Ladybird is to introduce the latest title in its hit grown-ups book series next month.

How it works: The Dad will arrive in stores on May 15, in time for Father’s Day in the UK in June.

Once again penned by co-writers Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris, the book features original Ladybird art and brand new text.

It has been specially planned to help dads and anyone interacting with one.

Since the launch of an initial capsule collection at the end of last year, Penguin Random House has seen sales of the series soar.

How it works: The Husband was the book trade’s number one selling title for Christmas, giving Penguin Random House its first Christmas number one in three years.

How it works: The Wife and The Ladybird Book of the Hangover came in at number two and three respectively in terms of sales.

How it works: The Mum was launched earlier this year to coincide with Mother’s Day.

The entire range has now sold more than 1.6 million copies to date.
