Brace of licensing agents sign on for Tara Duncan property in key territories

Princess Sam Consumer Products has welcomed two more licensing agents for the children’s animated comedy fantasy, Tara Duncan in key territories.

bRAND-WARD Services will manage the UK, while Consumer Products Connection will take responsibility for Spain and Portugal. They join Maurizio Distefano Licensing as the agent in Italy.

First published in 2003, tens of millions of Tara Duncan books have been sold worldwide. The animated 52 x 13’ series launched in 2022; total sales of the first series now exceed 80 countries. A second season, with 52 new episodes, is currently in production, with plans to produce 2 x 26’ special episodes. A digital ecosystem is also being developed to expand Tara’s universe and to delight the Tara fans – known as ‘Taraddicts’.

To further promote broadcast growth, the Princess Sam Entertainment Group recently appointed major international distribution company Superights as global distributor for Tara Duncan. Superights will represent worldwide rights distribution, except in Mainland China.

The consumer products campaign – managed by head of licensing, Laurent Taieb – has already awarded a licence in the French market to tonies.

“I am very proud and happy that bRAND-WARD has been given the opportunity to work with Laurent Taieb and the team at Princess Sam Consumer Products,” commented Jean-Philippe Randisi, company director at bRAND-WARD Services. “The enduring appeal of the Tara Duncan books is now going to take all screens and UK audiences by storm.”

Julien Barbier, ceo at Consumer Product Connection, continued: “We are delighted to collaborate with Princess Sam Consumer Products and thrilled at having been chosen as its licensing agent for Iberia. It’s clear that both the brand and the show have enormous potential and we are convinced it will have a great broadcasting and consumer product success in Spain and Portugal.”

Laurent added: “As viewer figures and the number of broadcast agreements continue to rise we are moving quickly to appoint best in class licensing agents for Tara Duncan to meet growing consumer demand. We are therefore delighted to announce the appointments of bRAND-WARD and Consumer Product Connection – two highly respected names in their territories.”
