RHS adds Threadbare for new apparel collection

The Royal Horticultural Society has signed up family-run fashion house, Threadbare, to create a wide range of apparel for men, women, children and – in a first for the RHS – dogs.

The first collection launches in time for RHS Flower Show Tatton Park in Knutsford, Cheshire (19-23 July), and features eight pieces consisting of two tops, one pair of trousers and one dress – each in a choice of two colourways.

All the designs used in the collection have been inspired by assets from the RHS Lindley Collections.

The first range will be available to buy from 18 July exclusively on Threadbare.com. Threadbare/RHS apparel ranges for men and children, plus jumpers and jackets for dogs, will follow in 2024.

To support the launch campaign, a photoshoot recently took place at RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford – a 156-acre RHS Garden in the heart of the North West. Threadbare has also visited the RHS Lindley Library in London to highlight the images that inspired the prints used on the fabrics and filmed promotional material.

“The marvellous design assets of the RHS Lindley Library, the support of the RHS itself and our own focus on quality and affordability have come together in a wonderful and unique collection,” commented Rachael Myers, ladieswear designer at Threadbare. “We’re thrilled with this collection and looking forward to more launches in 2024.”
