Sophie Allport teams with National Trust on ‘Acorn & Oak Leaves’ collection

British homewares and lifestyle brand, Sophie Allport will launch its new collection with the National Trust on 14 August.

Called Acorn & Oak Leaves, the new collection – which marks Sophie Allport’s fifth anniversary of working with the National Trust – blends the conservation charity’s logo with Sophie’s love of nature.

The autumnal range features an oak leaf design on fresh, natural kitchen and table linens, as well as serving stoneware.

“With it being our fifth year working with the National Trust, this collection feels extra special,” commented designer and founder, Sophie Allport. “My brother Jem and I explored many National Trust places as children and having since returned with families of our own, it is a delight to continue to work alongside and support the charity in their conservation work.

“I thoroughly enjoyed hand painting all the acorn and oak leaf motifs seen on this design. We’ve gone for a slightly larger scale than usual which we felt allowed more detail to show through on the oak leaves and the acorns. The design has translated beautifully onto the kitchen and table linens. We want this collection to help bring the outside in, giving the home a comforting feel after a brisk, blustery autumn walk in the woods.”

The National Trust’s Emma Prendergast continued: “We are thrilled to be working with Sophie and her team again. The Oak leaf is central to our National Trust brand and represents not only our heritage and traditions, but our belief in nature, growth and most importantly, access for everyone, for ever. We look forward to Sophie’s customers being able to bring a small piece of the Trust into their home and can’t wait to see what else is in store for the future, as our collaboration grows from strength to strength.”

The new collection will be the fourth since the two brands began working together in 2018 and will sit alongside the popular existing ranges: ‘Woodland Walks’, ‘Hedgehogs & Trees’ and ‘Woodland’, which have raised a total of £175,000 for the charity.

This year, 10% of net sales and a minimum of £20,000 from these collections will be given to the National Trust to help support its conservation work in parks and woodlands.
