Primark is in the pink with Barbie The Movie range

Primark is launching its new Barbie The Movie fashion and lifestyle capsule, just in time for the July release of the much-anticipated Warner Bros. Pictures’ film.

The collection features prints and patterns that allow consumers to channel their best Barbiecore for the upcoming movie and the iconic Barbie style that all generations know and love.

Designed to showcase the Barbie Land logo from the film, the capsule includes womenswear, accessories, nightwear, menswear, homeware and beauty, with items ranging from roller skate candles and bedazzled tumblers to matching Barbie and Ken swimsuits and loungewear. In true Barbie fashion, pink is the running theme in the line with pops of neon colour and subtle glam accents. For added fun, shoppers can shop the Venice Beach Barbie Swimwear and Ken shorts outfits from the viral Venice Beach Scene, available at Primark.

“We are delighted to partner with Mattel on the release of our Barbie The Movie collection,” commented Sarah Jackson, director of Licensing, Primark. “Barbiecore is spreading worldwide, and we are thrilled to offer our customers licensed fashion and accessories across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and lifestyle – including the iconic Venice Beach athletic wear that became an internet sensation – so everyone can unleash their inner Barbie and Ken this summer. This collection marks our first collaboration with Mattel, whom we have worked strategically with on the design and creation of the fantastic range, tied to the upcoming Warner Bros. movie. Barbie is sure to be the style moment of the summer and we have no doubt our collection will be a success.”

As a part of Primark’s mission to make fashion-forward pieces accessible to all, the Barbie The Movie collection has a price range of £3 to £20. It is available at Primark stores across the UK from the beginning of July.
