The Snowman and The Snowdog immersive adventure on the way

This Christmas, audiences will be able to step into the world of The Snowman, with Penguin Ventures teaming with Experiences Everywhere for a new immersive adventure.

The partnership sees Experiences Everywhere – an Everywhere Group company with previous productions including The Great Gatsby, Peaky Blinders and Doctor Who: Time Fracture – create a unique immersive experience, using cutting-edge screening technology in two specially constructed domes, launching ahead of the festive season at two sites in the UK.

Innovative pop-up dome structures will place audiences in the heart of the magical screening. With interactive play, live actors, puppetry and floor to ceiling moving projection, families will enjoy a true 360-degree experience.

“We are thrilled to partner with Penguin Ventures to bring The Snowman and The Snowdog to life this Christmas,” commented Tom Roe, head of global licensing at The Everywhere Group. “From the very first conversation, the team at Penguin Ventures have been an absolute delight to work with – highly professional, knowledgeable and supportive. With our experience creating live and immersive events, in close collaboration, we will transport audiences into the world of this classic tale.

“The World of The Snowman is a cherished property and has enchanted generations since Raymond Briggs created the original story in 1978. Experiences Everywhere is delighted to present family favourite ‘The Snowman and The Snowdog’ in a magical new way, building on the remarkable legacy of the two films. Our goal is to bring this captivating experience to cities across the UK in the Christmases to come.”

Thomas Merrington, creative director at Penguin Ventures, continued: “Bringing The Snowman and The Snowdog to life has never been more exhilarating. Experiences Everywhere are employing highly advanced and impressive technology while developing the dome experience and the results are simply breath-taking. Fans will be able to engage with the magical world of The Snowman and The Snowdog like never before as the audience is invited into the very heart of the story.”

Guests will be able to explore three dimensional sets inspired from the film as they enjoy festive refreshments before entering the virtual wintry wonderland. There, they can make snow angels, witness the iconic characters in action and watch as the magical film unfolds. The experience finishes in The Snowman Festival area (brought to life as scene from The Snowman and The Snowdog) before having the chance to pay a visit to Santa.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 23 June.
