Erve expands further with new Italian office

Erve is continuing to grow its presence across Europe, opening a new office in Italy.

Erve Srl – headed up by Francesco De’Robertis – will serve the domestic market and the whole of the Mediterranean basin including Spain, Portugal and Greece with its wide range of clothing, pyjamas, underwear, hosiery, accessories and swimwear for children and adults.

“We have been cautious in approaching the Mediterranean markets because we are aware of the significant differences in product and distribution when compared to Central and Northern Europe,” explained Martijn van der Erve, ceo of Erve Group. “We have not met the right person who could join us with our business philosophy and at the same time could be our interpreter of the needs of these markets and take care of the development of the Mediterranean at the forefront.

“Today, we have met the right person, and we are coming to these countries with a strong desire to gain leadership over time. We are financially strong and a reliable strategic partner in an ever-changing and volatile global economy. Our long-term focus, prudent approach, and global reach have enabled us to grow and invest year after year.”

Francesco De’Robertis, ceo of Erve Srl, continued: “Our mission at Erve Srl is to create value in the distribution chain for all links at all stages of the business, from the manufacturer to the end consumer. We aim to stand out in the licensing market, which is currently in rubble due to the fierce competition among competitors slashing selling prices, often to the point of reducing company margins to zero. We believe that competition, perceived value by distributor customers, and the willingness to pay of the end consumer are essential factors in this market, and we are determined to excel in them.”

Francesco continued: “Our team has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, having worked as executives and vps for multinational companies that are licensees of the same brands and direct competitors of Erve Srl. We have achieved results that have made us famous throughout our peninsula. Our knowledge of the market and our habit of being interpreters of the needs of individual countries in the MED for foreign companies make us the ideal team to help Erve Srl achieve leadership in the markets in which it operates.

“In addition to the licensing business, the company – with its subsidiaries in China, Bangladesh, Ethiopia and India – offers itself as a partner to chain stores and distributors to produce its line of products under its own brand (private label).”
