Cube Partnership secures major partnership with The Jockey Club

Cube Partnership has become the official global ecommerce and retail partner of The Jockey Club.

The company will design and manage the online store, merchandise collection, retail programme and venue retail operations for The Jockey Club, which is responsible for some of the UK ‘s biggest events including the Randox Grand National at Aintree, The Cheltenham Festival, The Derby at Epsom Downs and the QICPO Guineas Festival at Newmarket.

As the official ecommerce and retail partner, Cube has designed, sourced and will deliver retail licensed products for The Jockey Club at its racecourses and via a dedicated online store (which launched on 9 March). The online store includes a comprehensive range of merchandise for The Jockey Club and its major festivals and events.

The product range has a strong commitment to sustainability, with a focus on limiting single use plastics, responsibly managing waste materials and reducing carbon emissions.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Cube to deliver not only a wider range of products than we’ve ever offered before, but also a great shopping experience, both online and at our racecourses,” commented Olaf Gueldner, chief marketing officer at The Jockey Club. “This is a really important part of our commitment to further engaging new and existing racing fans and gives everyone the opportunity to show their passion for the sport. As every penny of profit The Jockey Club makes is reinvested, supporters are also playing their part in helping to create a thriving racing industry for years to come.”

Andy Bough, commercial director at Cube, continued: “We are delighted to be partnering with The Jockey Club to deliver a new merchandise programme for Britain’s third biggest spectator sport. The Jockey Club’s festivals are among the most iconic and historic sporting events in the world and we are thrilled to be working with such a great team to launch and build a completely reimagined and digitally-connected merchandise programme.

“Our new official merchandise collections, bespoke e-commerce store, and festival retail solutions will provide an elevated experience for racegoers and fans around the world.”

Cube’s first on-event retail programme will launch at The Cheltenham Festival which runs from 14-17 March, where Cube’s designated retail team will operate Cheltenham Racecourse’s retail shop and manage and install two Jockey Club branded pop-up retail containers at the racecourse’s concourse, as well as a fully branded pop-up retail space in the hospitality area.
