Cosworth ready to rev up in licensing

British technology and engineering brand, Cosworth is looking for new partners to collaborate with on a worldwide basis.

Working with Faster Brands, the company is eyeing up categories including computer battery storage (portable back-up power products); cool technology leisure (portable cool boxes, bags); electric scooters and cycles; performance eyewear and accessories; high performance sports luggage and outerwear; sports footwear; and jewellery.

In addition, it is also looking for apparel companies with a motorsports heritage.

Cosworth is also entering the world of sports, with a high-end racing simulation partnership due to be announced later this year.

“Cosworth not only has a rich heritage in motorsport spanning over 60 years, but now builds power plants for some of the most technologically advanced sports machines in the world,” commented Chris Parkes, md at Faster Brands. “Deals are already in place with manufacturers of die-cast models, watches and apparel. We are now looking to find the right partnerships in more categories that celebrate their past and present successes.”

Nick Greenway, marketing director at Cosworth Group Holdings, added: “Cosworth has a proud history of innovation; we look forward to growing our relationship with Faster Brands to showcase our rich and varied history with our key licensing partners.”
