Disney and a selection of young designers from The Prince’s Trust have been inspired by the women of Marvel for its much anticipated second collection.
The range – which features apparel and accessories – has been created as part of a two-week programme run by Disney with The Prince’s Trust to give young, aspiring designers the opportunity to break into the world of fashion and product design by pairing each participant with a mentor and hosting a series of exclusive, in-depth workshops.
It celebrates the female Super Heroes from across the Marvel universe including Wanda Maximoff, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Shuri, Ms Marvel and Okoye and will be available at The Disney Store and online at shopDisney.co.uk in the UK and across Europe.
“I wanted my designs to allow women to show off what makes them feel powerful,” commented Hannah Joseph, one of the designers working on the collection. “Although there are parts of the jumpsuit representing the amazing Women of Marvel, the base colour is white, allowing women to adorn their suit with accessories that make them feel like a legend.
“The jumpsuit comes with a cape, which is optional or can be turn into something else – such as a headpiece – that represents their own culture. I’m excited to see the products we designed brought to life.”
Other products include The Prince’s Trust Women of Marvel Sweatshirt For Adults by Hannah Joseph, The Prince’s Trust Women of Marvel Barrel Bag by James Castor and The Prince’s Trust Women of Marvel Necklace Set by Aishah Aziz among others.
