Quorn and Pink Key offer licensing a new taste of sustainability

The global meat alternative brand, Quorn has appointed Pink Key Licensing to pioneer a new consumer products programme that sits ‘in full alignment’ with its sustainability and environmental values to drive its ‘better for the planet’ messaging across the market.

Sustainable and environmental values will play an integral role in the Quorn licensing programme and the brand has stated that it will only be working with licensing partners that uphold its commitment to a healthy planet.

First launched to UK consumers in 1985, Quorn closely aligns itself with a pioneering approach to food production and consumption, health benefits, and sustainability. Through Pink Key Licensing, the company is now looking to translate these credentials into the brand and lifestyle licensing arena.

“We put a Net Positive lens on everything we do now, we’re about putting far more back into the environment and society than we take out, and when that comes to licensing it comes back to ethical sourcing, recycled materials and sustainable production,” explained Sam Blunt, commercial operations director at Quorn Foods. “Quorn is now a mass-market brand, and so it feels like now is a good time to be taking our message into the licensing arena.”

Richard Pink, md of Pink Key Licensing, added: “There’s some real momentum now, not just from a consumer point of view, but from an industry point of view, for brands with something different to say. This is a brand that holds health and sustainable consumption at its very core, and this is exactly what we will be conveying through our very considered licensing programme.”
