Dr. Martens is collaborating with the National Gallery on a new collection which celebrates a trio of artists.
The collection is the latest in the brand’s series with convention breaking artists such as Basquiat and Keith Haring.
The collaboration with the National Gallery aims to infuse iconic DM silhouettes with art that broke the rules by artists who walked their own path including Impressionist painters Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh, plus post-Impressionist Georges Seurat.
Monet’s The Water-Lily Pond and Seurat’s Bathers at Asniéres have been printed on the 1461 three-eye shoe, while van Gogh’s Sunflowers is printed all over the Original 1460 eight-eye boot.
All three artists’ work are also combined on a Dr. Martens backpack.
