Raft of licensees across key categories confirmed for preschool show.
The consumer products programme for Nickelodeon’s latest preschool hit, Blaze and the Monster Machines, is set to ignite at retail, with the company confirming a raft of UK licensees.
NVCP has revealed that 15 UK partners have signed up for the show, lining up alongside master international toy partner Mattel and the already announced LeapFrog and Centum Books.
The impressive list includes Sambro (arts, crafts, stationery, games, puzzles, pocket money); Clementoni (puzzles, interactive learning); Character World (bedding, beds, accessories); Kokomo (health and beauty); Ninja (play tents, inflatables); and Delta (beds, toy storage, chairs).
In the food category, Lightbody has been signed up, while Amscan will handle partyware and balloons.
In apparel, those on board include Drew Pearson International (headwear); Roy Lowe & Sons (socks), William Lamb (footwear); TVM Fashion Lab (outerwear); Aykroyd & Sons and TDP Textiles (nightwear, underwear); and Alfred Franks & Bartlett (sunglasses).
“To have secured such prestigious partners is a testament to the appeal of the property and Nickelodeon’s expertise in creating and developing hit preschool series that have wide consumer appeal,” said Marianne James, vp consumer products UK & Ireland & European retail sales & marketing NCVP.
“Blaze offers a unique opportunity to license partners; a preschool property with a focus on the STEM curriculum and a strong sense of comedy. The show has many facets that can be interpreted into innovative products. I cannot wait to see the product lines developed by our partners and look forward to seeing the reaction from retailers and families.”
