Key appointments part of structural shift to grow CP business abroad and expand global franchises.
Universal Brand Development is continuing its focus on international growth and changing to direct management of its CP business in select EMEA territories, welcoming five new country directors.
The key appointments are part of a structural shift to aggressively grow Universal’s consumer products business abroad and expand the studio’s global franchises.
This approach saw Hannah Mungo take on the role of country director for the UK and Ireland last year. She has now been joined by heads for Germany, France, Iberia, Italy and Benelux.
The newly formed team will report to Jonathan Baker, vp EMEA consumer products at Universal Brand Development.
Kathrin Brandhorst has been appointed as country director for Germany, Switzerland and Austria, having previously been responsible for the DreamWorks consumer products business in Germany, Switzerland and Austria as well as the Nordics.
Virginie Kleinclaus has been appointed as country director France, having most recently served as managing director of CPLG France.
Joining from The Walt Disney Company, Karen Argos has been named country director for Spain and Portugal, where she will spearhead the business unit in Iberia.
Mariella Almasio has been appointed country director Italy, while Jean-Francois Auquier will head up the Benelux region.
