Rainbow Designs unveils Paddington Movie line

New range was celebrated with a special ‘Paddington Party’ at London’s Toy Fair.

Rainbow Designs revealed its new movie feature plush line for Paddington at London’s Toy Fair yesterday (January 24), saying it is preparing for a “monumentous” year for the brand.

The company’s new range was debuted at a special ‘Paddington Party’ attended by retailers, media and industry professionals – as well as the costume character himself.

The Movie line will be TV advertised this autumn and will hit retail from July.

It includes Dancing Paddington (which sways to a calypso rhythm and has five different phrases), as well as Cycling Paddington on his red bicycle.

The two new toys join the popular Talk to Me Paddington and My Name is Paddington feature plush toys which launched last year.

Suzie Howes, head of marketing and licensing at Rainbow Designs, said: “This really is going to be a very busy year for Paddington and we are super excited about our new collection.

“The Movie range will sit alongside both our Classic Paddington and Paddington for Baby collections, providing our retailers with a real depth of product in what is going to be a monumentous year for Paddington.”
