Now Hamsta brand expands into the US

Happy Ink confirms collaboration with Brad Bushell to bring ambitious property to the territory.

Happy Ink is bringing its quirky Hamsta brand to the US, revealing a collaboration with well-known industry name Brad Bushell.

Brad is a familiar face in the US licensing arena. He is the former svp at United Media, while he also served as vp international licensing at Paws, Inc., the owner of the Garfield comic character property, where he led an international network of agents.

His consultancy company boasts clients such as Animagic Entertainment, John Hart Studios and Manchester Sky, managing global video, licensing and merchandising programmes.

“We are very proud and happy to start our collaboration with Brad, who I’ve had the pleasure of working with for several years on the Garfield property,” said Jacqueline Hofman, director of international licensing at Happy Ink.

“Brad’s reputation, knowledge and overall experience is exactly what Happy Ink needs to build long-term partnerships within the United States and Canada.”

Brad added: “The characters are so much fun and Saskia’s artwork is world class. The possibilities are exciting and working with Jacqueline again will be fun, too.”

The news comes hot on the heels of Maurizio Distefano picking up the Hamsta brand for the Italian market.
