Pat-a-Cake, the new baby, preschool and early years imprint, signs PJ Masks deal.
The new imprint from Hachette Children’s Group aimed at the baby, preschool and early years age groups – Pat-a-Cake – has secured its first licensing deal.
The imprint will publish books based on eOne’s PJ Masks property following the signing of a three-year deal.
The first titles will arrive in August and will include two episode-based story books, a sticker book and a colouring book. There are plans for a further sticker book to launch in October.
Katie Price, Hachette Children’s Group licensing director, said: “Signing an age-appropriate and popular licensed brand was always a key part of our new baby, preschool and early years’ imprint strategy.
“PJ Masks is the preschool brand that everyone is talking about and I am thrilled that we have acquired this for Pat-a-Cake.
“I believe that there is a real gap in the market for a preschool superhero brand and the buzz around PJ Masks is very exciting.”
