Mothercare unveils Julien Macdonald tie up

Designer partners with retailer for his first childrenswear offering, called Smile.

Busy Mothercare unveiled a new high-end fashion partnership at London Fashion Week, with the retailer working with designer Julien Macdonald on a range called Smile.

Launching this spring, the range marks the first time that Julien has designed childrenswear.

The debut collection – which was shown at London Fashion Week – features a colourful, fun daywear range alongside more luxurious limited edition occasionwear.

Both lines are designed for girls and boys aged from newborn to two years old.

“I have such a passion for the design of children’s clothes so to collaborate with Mothercare is very exciting,” Julien said. “The collection features classic newborn pieces, sprinkled with unique touches and playful attention to detail.”

The Smile range launches in 70 Mothercare stores across the UK on April 20 and prices will range from £20 to £50.
