Leading retailers head back to House of Commons

Argos, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Hot Topic to take part in special LIMA debate.

Top level executives from Tesco, Argos, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Hot Topic will be heading to the House of Commons next month for the second LIMA retail debate to be held at the venue.

The UK Retail and the Future of Licensing debate will take place on Monday October 10, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, at the House of Commons, Palace of Westminster.

John Carolan, head of buying childrenswear, Sainsbury’s; Ruth Golightly, licensing manager at George @ Asda; Rachel Wakley, head of licensing, Tesco; Linzi Walker, trading manager for toys and nursery, Argos; and Cindy Levitt, svp merchandise and marketing, Hot Topic will all take part.

The panel will look to provide an update on retailers’ first hand insights into the state of licensing, from both an e-commerce and bricks and mortar perspective.

After the discussion, traditional English afternoon tea will be served, while there will be plenty of networking opportunities with industry peers.

The event is sponsored by Finsbury Foods Group.

There are a limited amount of tickets remaining, with registrations accepted on a first come first served basis.

It is £90 to attend, with the event designed as an executive level gathering for those in senior positions.
