Hype teams with Nickelodeon for Turtles line

New collaboration features retro Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artwork.

Nickelodeon has joined forces with Hype for the launch of a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fashion line.

The Hype designs – featuring retro TMNT logos and character depictions – will launch in two phases.

The first will kick off today (June 3) in Hype’s Box Park Store in London and addition retail locations in select regions around the world. These will include the UK & Channel Islands, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

The apparel and accessories line features jackets, t-shirts, tote bags and caps among other lines. Prices range from £25 up to £50.

“Hype continues to impress the world with innovative styles and designs, and partnering with Hype has helped bring the beloved Turtles characters to life in a whole new way,” said Ron Johnson, evp of consumer products at Viacom International Media Networks.

“The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles retro apparel and accessories line unites the classic TMNT look with the fun and excitement around this summer’s motion picture release.”

Hype’s Liam Green added: “You can expect to see raw edged, distressed collections inspired by the retro style Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with exaggerated edges, stepped hems and a distinctive monotone colour pallet.”
